ABOUT US

Preparing Our Future Leaders

At Dinwiddie County Public Schools, every student is known, valued, challenged, and supported as they discover who they are and who they can become. From their earliest classroom experiences through graduation, students are provided meaningful opportunities to learn, create, lead, collaborate, explore their interests, and connect learning to the world beyond school. Our schools combine strong academics with career and technical education, the arts, athletics, leadership, service, and real-world experiences that help students develop confidence, curiosity, resilience, and purpose. As graduates of Dinwiddie County Public Schools, students are prepared not only for college, careers, and service, but for life—ready to think critically, communicate effectively, solve problems, work with others, adapt to change, and contribute with compassion and integrity. Rooted in a strong community and inspired to reach great heights, our graduates leave Dinwiddie prepared to pursue their next opportunity and make a positive difference wherever their path leads.

Superintendent’s Message
Welcome to Dinwiddie County Public Schools, where we are rooted in purpose and rising with excellence.

It is both an honor and a privilege to serve the students, families, staff, and community of Dinwiddie County. As Superintendent, I believe that every child deserves access to exceptional learning opportunities, caring relationships, and a school community that believes deeply in their potential.

Our mission is simple yet profound: to nurture confident, compassionate learners who are prepared for success in life beyond graduation. Every day, our dedicated educators and staff work to ensure that students are known by name, supported in their growth, challenged to achieve, and inspired to pursue their dreams.

Dinwiddie County Public Schools has a rich tradition of excellence and a bright future ahead. Together with our School Board, families, community partners, businesses, faith leaders, and civic organizations, we are committed to creating learning environments where all students can thrive. We understand that the success of our schools is directly connected to the strength of our community partnerships, and we value the trust you place in us.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to serve students and educators in a variety of roles and settings, but what continues to inspire me most is witnessing the remarkable impact that schools can have on the lives of children and families. Here in Dinwiddie, I have seen firsthand the power of a community that comes together to support its schools and invest in the future.

As we continue our journey, guided by our strategic vision, Deep Roots, Great Heights, we remain focused on ensuring high levels of learning for every student, fostering a culture of belonging and opportunity, and preparing graduates who are ready to contribute meaningfully to their communities and the world.
